If you’re looking for a day at the beach, we’d recommend Sandsend. With no arcades to be seen, this beautiful stretch of east coast coastline is more peaceful than some of the more tourist spots, and you can get the best fish and chips around by visiting The Fish Cottage whilst you’re there.
The towering Robin Hood’s Bay cliffs and hidden coves invite exploration, while the peaceful Flamborough Head offers panoramic views of the North Sea. With rolling hills, quaint fishing villages, and spectacular sunsets, the East Coast is a paradise for nature lovers, photographers, and those seeking a tranquil escape by the sea.
Further down the coast you’ll find Filey, the Bempton Cliffs, and the Flamborough Nature Reserve, all of which can captivate and enthral. If you have younger members in your party the Sea Life Centre in Scarborough is sure to be a hit.
